Welcome to
Maple Downs
Located within the picturesque Oak Ridges Moraine, just north of Toronto, Maple Downs was established in 1954 by several Jewish golf enthusiasts who couldn’t gain membership to other private clubs in the city. Their goal was to create a comfortable and inclusive family-oriented leisure facility. That ethic remains today, some 70 years later. Maple Downs is a community and, indeed, many of the founding families are still members today.
Maple Downs is located close enough to the city to be convenient but far enough to be an escape.
A true country club, with a Top 100 golf course, Maple Downs is your escape.
The Maple Downs golf course is regularly ranked in the Top 100 in Canada. Originally designed by American architect William F. Mitchell, it has undergone several upgrades and renovations over the years by renowned architects such as Graham Cooke and Doug Carrick.
Recently, noted golf course restoration specialist Ian Andrew worked on the course, bringing out the best features of Mitchell’s original design. Andrew also created a unique three-hole short-course practice facility with the intention to grow the game for the youth of the club.
